You have the following rights to claim and request if your flight was cancelled by Finnair:
Finnair reserve the right to make a schedule or flight change due to which you may be denied boarding or confirm your pre booked travel with extra services like passengers with special travel assistance, pet travel, etc. If you are not given pre booked travel you can always request for refund by cancelling your flight ticket with Finnnair or contact Finnair customer service at +1-888-526-4112. If you have booked your flight ticket through Finnair customer service, airport helpdesk or through their flight booking site then you can contact their customer service directly.
Finnair will determine the final refund amount after your flight cancellation is confirmed. And the refund price will be based on the type of ticket you have purchased. Passengers will receive a refund within seven working days in the original form of payment only. If you meet any one of the following conditions you can either cancel your Finnair flight ticket and ask for refund or ask the airline to accommodate you with another seat on another departing flight on the same day departing no less than 2 hours from the original schedule departure. Finnair will not offer you any compensation or refund under the given situations:
According to Finnair Flight Cancelation Policy 2023, the policy will be applicable to all types of flight tickets. Flight cancellation fee will be determined according to the fare type Passengers can alter their existing flight fares, flight reservation at least 24 hours before their flight departure. Passengers can also claim a refund for the unused portion of the journey with Finnair Flight.
Passengers can claim for full refund only when they cancel their flight booking within 24 hours from the time of booking their flight ticket. If they fail to do so there will be cancellation charges after the 24 hour window. The 24 hour cancellation policy is valid only if the traveller cancels the flight seven days before the flight departure.
Yes, you can claim a refund if you were unable to travel because of severe illness. Passengers need to present a valid health certificate if they are cancelling flight ticket due to illness, immediate death of a family member and their relationship with the deceased.
