JetBlue Airlines Unaccompanied Minor Policy

JetBlue ensures the safety and security of an unaccompanied minor travelling with JetBlue Airlines. JetBlue Airlines offer special service if your child is travelling alone and is between five to fifteen years of age. Your child will be escorted starting from the pick-up point at the airport till the child reached their dedicated destination. However there are some points to note down and below are listed the policies:

  1. Children aged between five to fourteen can travel alone as an Unaccompanied Minor with JetBlue Airlines services.
  2. They can travel on non stop flights and cannot transfer to other airlines.
  3. Children below the age group of five years are not eligible or travel for the unaccompanied minor service.
  4. For children aged between five to seven years the service is available only on non stop flights.
  5. For children aged between eight to fourteen years they can also travel on non stop flights and they cannot travel between 9pm and 5 pm.
  6. JetBlue Airlines Unaccompanied Minor also cannot travel on connecting flights or codeshare flights.  They are allowed on non stop flights.
  7. Special documentation is required for international travel such as notarized letter of permission.
  8. If a minor is aged between two years to 13 years is travelling with a passenger aged between 14 years or older certain rules is applicable.
  9. Valid IDs are required for minors travelling alone with JetBlue Flights.
  10. Parents/ Guardians dropping the child at the airport are advised to remain at the airport until the child has boarded on the flight.

The travel guidelines for connecting flights will be allowed only if the unaccompanied minor have attained 14 years of age and above.
